Last, last minute preparations for the season

PATRIOT!

At the moment, we are getting ready for Air & Space Day 2003 in Tewksbury, Ma. Please come see the debut of Patriot on the 21st of June!

Ok, so it is just a VERY large crate but I have been told by the young gentlemen that moved it into the garage that it probably has Patriot inside the wooden crate. If the workmanship on Patriot is anything like the workmanship of the crate, I think we are going to have a great year!

I'm betting that the balloon is even better... Although I keep hearing in my head, "Smaller, smaller". I wonder where that is coming from...

Here is another shot of Patriot in our garage. This morning Barry & John took it out of the truck with a forklift and a 55 gallon barrel. You will have to ask them about this, because I really did not wish to watch. I did not get any photos of this great feat or of the end result, but now the crate is sitting in the garage just awaiting un-crating. John & Barry said something about being bypassed for the show Modern Marvels, and they both think that is a mistake.

Here is Carrie hard at work on this year's t-shirts that we will have for sale at different events and will be given to lucky crew members this year. They look pretty cool so far.

This is John putting together the cart that will carry Patriot around on fields all over the country. They tell me that it will fit after we get it out of the big crate! More photos of the uncrating later this evening. This I've got to see!
