Flag City Balloon Festival -
Findlay, Ohio August 14-16th, 2009 |
We are always thrilled to be invited to
Flag City. It is an excellent event with friendly people, and great
organization so everyone is in a good mood. Plus, there is no entrance fee
for spectators.
'Freedom' takes flight! |
A couple of racing balloons get ready to
take off. |
America One takes off for a beautiful
flight. The new truck looks good, too. |
Landing in a nice wide open space
after flying across the city of Findlay.
|
|
We had several Marine recruits as crew
for the weekend. Several were surprised when they got to fly in America One. |

|
Friday evening we overflew the town again
and landed in a small housing development surrounded by crops. |
|
|
We got to watch the other balloons fly
as we packed everything away.
|
|
|
Saturday morning we took off from a local
high school in town.
|
|
|
The reflection of the balloon is on
the side of the school.

We landed about 100 feet from the space
we landed in on Friday morning. |
Carlie Hertel made this wonderful
cake! Excellent job. Yum! |
BBQ & a trailer washing at Brad & Amy's
house. Good food, friends and more fun!
|
Suzie hangs out on the lawn.
|
Brad's staff shirt from 2003 hangs in his
garage. That's dedication. |
|
Thanks once again to everyone at the Flag
City Balloon Festival. We always have a wonderful time and things go
smoothly. Yours is a great community event. |
