Ok, so this page really
has nothing to do with ballooning, but sometimes you just have to have fun
with great friends without big balloons. So, with that said, here is
Halloween 2004 & the Annual Turbo Jack-O-Lantern Burning Party!
This is Alex. This is his
first time appearing on our web site. He has been learning to be a balloon
pilot for about 13 years now. He has enough hours to actually take the test,
but really does he look like a balloon pilot? Oh yea, he was also the best
man at our wedding. |
This is Fran. aka, Henry the
8th. He is the host of the Halloween party along with his wife Michele. She
will be along shortly.

Fran and Michele. They have also
been ballooning with us for many, many years. We really miss them out on the
field. They are part of the crowd that keeps saying, "Smaller". We love them
anyway. |
The Turbo Pumpkin Burning Party
at Al Switzer's on November 6, 2004.
The party consists of
Jack-o-Lanterns, paper, racing fuel and a leaf blower.
Carve the pumpkin and include
a large rear port for the leaf blower.
Stuff the Jack-o-Lantern with
paper, add fuel, put the cap back on the pumpkin and light. Fire up the
leaf blower and watch the flames.
Barry always comes in as the
"Alternative Fuel Class".
Paper? Racing Fuel? Leaf
Blower? No need. Sometimes he doesn't even need matches to start it. Maybe
that's why he is called "Chemical Barry" by some....
This year's didn't have as
much flame as the others, but it sure was BRIGHT!
Lots of entries this year. The
best pumpkin this year had a new twist. Reverse carving... |
